Photography is a medium that can be referred to as “just light,” which in Japanese pronunciation can also being a pun for “just right.” When capturing a subject there are many factors that must be carefully balanced, such as the aperture and shutter speed, and the exposure time to photographic paper. The essence of this mysterious medium that is both chemical and somewhat magical in essence is likely not yet fully understood. Although we can explain it scientifically, the sensations we feel when looking at them are less easy to define. What is the real difference between digital photos and analog film photos?
This exhibition will present works by 9 artists who aim for some kind of harmony in their photography.
