Artists

Keiichi Tanaami
In the late-1980s and 1990s, graphic artist Keiichi Tanaami broke away from the pop style that had informed his work in the 1960s and 1970s to create works exploring themes of life and death and dreams and memories. Kawasaki City Museum presents 110 works by Tanaami from its collection, including the full 18-painting series Hollywood Stardust, posters and prints from the mid-1970s through the 1990s, a series of sculptures, and experimental films. Tracing Tanaami’s creative activity through the present day, the show explores the artist’s vivid memories.
