Mitsumasa Anno
Mitsumasa Anno was born in Tsuwano, Shimane in 1926. His first picture book, “Fushigi na e” (Mysterious Pictures), published in 1968, proved popular. After that, more than 300 books have been published and Anno has continued to work versatilely for over fifty years. With the cooperation of the Anno Art Museum in Tsuwano, a wide range of his works such as landscapes and botanical pictures, which he has been working on from early on in his career, and picture books depicting stories and wondrous worlds are introduced.
