Nanae Mitobe + Natsuki Takayama “Humanity”

Artists

Nanae Mitobe, Natsuki Takayama
These two contemporary artists create paintings filled with thought-provoking messages about the world today. Nanae Mitobe has been painting portraits of anonymous people and European public figures from the 70s. Her art makes the case that it is possible for us to regain our sociality through our “faces.” Natsuki Takayama seeks to redefine the gap between people and the world through art. Her unique way of painting using a syringe makes her art more expressive by connecting spaces and objects instead of dividing them.
