*Play! will reopen from June 1 (Tue.).

Featuring some 200 original illustrations by the award-winning picture book artist Komako Sakai, known for illustrating titles such as “The Velveteen Rabbit.” Sakai’s work is explored through the key words of “secrets,” “fields,” “darkness,” and “children.” Video and sound installations recreate the area surrounding her mountain atelier, while toys and objects from Sakai’s childhood offer a further glimpse into her world. Poster and book design in by cozfish. The exhibition will also be held at the Yokosuka Museum of Art in the summer of 2021.
