The second exhibition at Fei Art Museum Yokohama featuring artists forging new frontiers in the ceramic world. While usually handicraft evokes practical items that can be used in daily life, modern ceramic arts are going beyond handicrafts and entering the field of sculpture and objects. On the other hand, sculpting is incorporating techniques from ceramics such as terracotta. These fired sculptures cross the lines of handicraft and sculpture.
