In celebration of Chiba's 150th anniversary, the Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art is hosting an exhibition as part of a cultural exchange project with the Netherlands. The exhibition features the work of world-renowned artist Theo Jansen, who is originally from the Netherlands. The exhibition includes wind-powered, large art piece called "Strandbeest," Jansen's original sketches, and the tools the artist uses. There are also daily walking events within the museum. On December 3, a special coastal walking event will take place in Chiba Port, allowing the public to witness the Strandbeest in action against the backdrop of Chiba's coastline.
