The Artizon Museum, formerly the Bridgestone Museum of Art (opened in 1952), opened in January 2020 as a new art museum in Kyobashi, Tokyo. Artizon is a word coined from the combination of the words "art" and "horizon," and expresses the museum's intention to give visitors a sense of the horizons of art that are opening up the future. The concept is to "experience creation". In addition to the highly acclaimed Impressionist and Japanese modern Western-style paintings, the Ishibashi Foundation has expanded the scope and depth of its Collection to include post-war abstract paintings and modern Japanese art. The exhibition rooms are located on three floors from the 4th to the 6th and are equipped with the latest lighting and air-conditioning systems to provide a wide variety of art experiences.
