Toyota Municipal Museum of Art

The museum features a bright, simple, and functional building designed by Yoshio Taniguchi, an architect renowned for his museum architecture.

Located on a small hill overlooking the ruins of the former Shichishu Castle, the museum features a garden with a large pond designed by landscape designer Peter Walker, dotted with outdoor sculptures that visitors can enjoy walking around.

In addition to special exhibitions held several times a year, the museum also holds a permanent exhibition of its extensive collection of modern and contemporary art, design, and crafts from Japan and abroad, changing the exhibits each time.

In addition to the museum store and restaurant, there is also a tea ceremony room "Dojien" where visitors can enjoy tea in a casual setting with standing seating.
