Sogetsu Kaikan was completed in 1977 by Kenzo Tange, who was one of Japan’s leading modern architects. Sogetsu Kaikan, with its stone garden by world-renowned artist Isamu Noguchi and multi-purpose hall, has become a center for creative activities that transcend genres, including ikebana.
