Creative Hub 131 was created as a facility with over a half year of handmade renovation of an old building at Nihonbashi Odemmacho where this area continued its history since the early Edo Period.

In order to gain a more maximized flexibility (freedom), each organization in the Creative Hub 131 is managed independently and takes it's own individual responsibilities and risks. The project was begun in fall 2010, and launched in the summer of 2011. It is for where we are not able to make or create otherwise at an ordinary environment; for people to spend time together and being connected as a hub, and for challenging us to make a new means of working and for exhibiting these attempts and efforts. This place now functions as a center for experiments and practices.
