Hakodate Museum of Art, Hokkaido

The Hakodate Museum of Art, Hokkaido opened in September 1986. The museum collects, preserves, and exhibits superb works in the three areas of southern Hokkaido-related art, East Asian art and calligraphy, and contemporary art featuring text and symbols. Through a full schedule of exhibitions, educational programs, and research, it is an active promoter of the arts in Hokkaido.

Closed during the New Year holidays and in between exhibitions.
