Gaien Campus was established in July 2010 as the Tokyo base of Kyoto University of Arts and its sister school, Tohoku University of Art & Design. Located in the lush green grounds of Meiji Jingu Gaien, the two-story campus with a total floor space of 3,124m2 is used for the Tokyo Geijutsu Gakusha, a new type of art college for working adults that offers a variety of public courses to study the arts, and for schooling classes for the correspondence course, which offers over 470 courses annually.
