Ginza Okuno Building Room 306 Project

The "Ginza Apartment" (now the Okuno Building) was completed in 1932. Soon after, a woman opened a beauty salon in Room 306 of the building. After experiencing the start of the war, the end of the war, and post-war reconstruction, the salon closed in the 1960s. After that, the room was used as a residence and the woman passed away just after turning 100 years old in 2009. We were able to move in to the room before any changes were made. The "Ginza Okuno Building Room 306 Project" is a non-profit activity to maintain and utilize Room 306. Members with various backgrounds are involved in the project.
