BO/OK is an art book store opened in 2024 by Nara-based graphic designer Ryoko Nagaoka. Housed in a renovated space that was once a rice shop more than 60 years old, it carries a curated selection of Japanese and international art books, from photography and architecture to picture books and unconventional concept books. The store includes an attached gallery space, where exhibitions, workshops, and other creative events are held regularly. With its clean, white-based interior, BO/OK has become a new cultural point in Nara.
