Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka

On February 2, 2022, the Osaka Nakanoshima Museum of Art opened in Nakanoshima, which has long flourished as the center of Osaka's economy and culture.

It has been about 40 years since the establishment of the Museum of Modern Art was announced in 1983 as a project to commemorate the centennial of Osaka city. During this time, the collection of the Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka, has grown to over 6,000 pieces, with a core of outstanding Japanese and international art and design from the latter half of the 19th century to the present, while also focusing on the rich artistic activities of the local Osaka community.

In addition to presenting its diverse collection to the public, the museum is eager to hold exhibitions in a wide range of fields and looks forward to welcoming visitors as a new platform for art.
