The Japanese Western-style painting collection of the Hiroshima Museum of Art is a valuable collection that traces the flow of modern Japanese Western-style painting, starting with the works of Kuroda Seiki, a master of the Meiji era, and continuing through the Taisho and Showa eras.
This exhibition introduces about 70 works from the collection by artists such as Yuzo Saeki, Takanori Ogisu, Ryohei Koiso, Takeshi Hayashi, Saburo Miyamoto, and Rei Kamoi.
