Maho Kubota Gallery

Maho Kubota Gallery is a contemporary art gallery that opened in Tokyo in March 2016. The space is located in Jingumae, a cultural crossroads in Tokyo where Harajuku and Aoyama overlap.
Since its inception, the gallery has been presenting work by artists who focus on gender issues in their work. In recent years, we have also been focusing on the work of artists who take a cognitive psychological approach to the question of what happens in the human brain when we view art. In addition, we will introduce works by artists who poetically capture the history of human creation and the richness of wisdom, based on universal narratives that transcend time and place. Through the exhibitions of outstanding artists from Japan and abroad, we aim to create a place of open experimentation that will remain in our memories long after we have viewed the works, and that will lead us to our own thoughts and explorations.
