The Ad Museum Tokyo

"Always something new to discover."

The only museum in Japan dedicated to advertising. In the permanent exhibition, visitors can learn about the history of advertising in Japan through a selection of approximately 330,000 works from the museum's collection, ranging from the Edo period to the present day. Special exhibitions include original exhibitions that introduce the latest advertising case studies from Japan and abroad. In addition, visitors can browse books on advertising and marketing in the library and search the digital archives. I was never interested in advertising! but the exhibits are designed to be easily enjoyed by those who are not. Laugh, be moved, or be surprised when you see nostalgic advertisements. This is a museum where visitors can encounter new discoveries through the fascination and depth of advertisements that have touched people's hearts and minds throughout the ages.
