Machida City Museum of Graphic Arts

Since its opening in 1987, the museum has been collecting and preserving outstanding print work and materials from Japan and abroad, and currently has a collection of close to 32,000 items. The museum aims to provide citizens and visitors with a comprehensive experience of "enjoyment in viewing," "enjoyment in creating," and "enjoyment in presenting" through various exhibitions based on the rich collection, as well as through the use of facilities such as the public exhibition room, auditorium, print studio, and atelier. The museum also serves as a base for cultural and artistic activities in Machida, conducting a wide range of activities such as various events and lectures. The museum welcomes visitors to spend time at the museum getting familiar with art while strolling through the lush Serigaya Park.
