The gallery opened in 2019 in a corner of the DDD HOTEL in Nihonbashi Bakurocho, Tokyo.
In a distinctive space that was once a multi-story parking garage, we have formed a program that crosses cultures and values with a focus on contemporary art. The gallery introduces a wide range of domestic and international artists.
Taku Sato, who has worked as a gallery director and art coordinator for many years, is the director of Parcel, and Sakie Takasu, who is a member of the art collective Side Core and plays an important role as an exhibition planner, is the program director.
Parcel aims to combine the characteristics of a commercial gallery, a project space, and an artist-run space, while sending out a multifaceted message to the times.
