A part of our warehouse space (about 270 square meters) inside the TERRADA Art Complex was renovated into an exhibition space. Here art preservation and exhibition are fused into one space, where new works by resident artists and works from SCAI’s collection will be exhibited.
The function of the gallery in the art industry is to collaborate with artists and send artwork out into the world, standing at the forefront of an ever changing society and asking “what is art?”. Our company, which has been involved in the development of contemporary art since its establishment in 1989, has been involved in the production of numerous works and has been widely introduced internationally through its own network. Galleries tend to put value on new works to emphasize their novelty, but the potential of each work can be updated, questioned, and given new interpretations over time. One of the major challenges of galleries is to have a historical perspective and in order to create a new layer of history.
At SCAI Park, select and exhibit works from our established network and from our collection, regardless of whether they are old or new. We believe there is meaning in being a part of the process of distributing art from the studio to the world’s art collections.
