Nagare Studio

Sculptor Masayuki Nagare was born in 1923. He had a background as a swordsmith, served as a Zero fighter pilot in the war, and established his own techniques and style not only in sculpture, but also in a variety of other forms such as garden design, ceramics, and furniture design. Nagare Studio is his former residence and atelier, located on the eastern cape of the Aji Peninsula in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. Now open to the public as a museum, the space preserves the atmosphere of the past.
