You may have noticed this Maus appearing in many articles and event announcements recently; it is the mascot of the Year of Germany in Japan.
Maus (mouse) and his two friends, Elefant (elephant) and Ente (duck) share a mix of funny and "how things work" stories, offering heart-warming humor on "Die Sendung mit der Maus", a television program currently airing on WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk).
Since its beginning in 1972, the program has only gained in popularity, and Maus is loved by Germans of all ages. The program is aired in over 60 countries worldwide, mainly in Europe. In addition, there will be a picture book series from Petit Grand Publishing.
