This event has ended.

This is Miyamoto's first solo show at Taro Nasu in 3 years, featuring 20 works including new photograms and pinhole camera photographs.

Miyamoto's photograms depict familiar creatures - grass, bugs and birds. He places his subjects directly onto photosensitive paper and then exposes them to light, creating a white image of his subject against a black background: a quiet allusion to the to and fro between life and death. This series of new photograms comes in two sizes - 20x24 inches and 8x10 inches.

His pinhole works, on the other hand, were previously exhibited at the Naoshima Standard 2 Exhibition. Miyamoto himself entered the pinhole camera, producing a gigantic image measuring almost 3 meters high.
