This event has ended.

Using paint as a base rather than a material, Jane Lee creates works that exist in space as “sculptures.” By working with paint and canvas without being tied to their conventional uses, Lee pursues their possibilities in a way that questions the rules and methods of painting and even the makeup and origins of painting itself. “Secret Garden,” her first announced show in Japan, presents around ten pieces, including new paintings and installation art, giving visitors an overview of the artistic frontier Lee has been exploring thus far.
