Most things we see on a regular basis have been brought into existence by means of information transmission. Clothes that we wear often begin their life on the catwalk, where they are snapped by cameras and made into two-dimensional digital images that get shared across websites and social networks. Other brands announce “looks” ahead of their catwalk shows, then sooner or later their clothing ends up on the pages of magazines. Different media have the ability to illuminate various aspects of clothing over the course of time, altering the relationship we have with our clothes. So it is that media has become an inherent part of the fashion industry. This event will consider issues fashion faces in the future and nature of fashion shows.
