This event has ended.

French photographer François Halard has produced his new photo book “Saul Leiter” with Sweden and Paris based publisher Libraryman. Previously Halard has photographed the ateliers of artists such as Cy Twombly, Luigi Ghirri, Louise Bourgeois, and Richard Avedon as well as worked on editorials for international interior and fashion magazines. At this point he is recognized as one of the world’s most outstanding architectural photographers. For this book, Halard visited the studio of American photographer and painter Saul Leiter in 2015, two years after his death. Here he shot the traces left behind by the artist in his East Village space.
This event celebrates the release of the publication with a screening of the film “In No Great Hurry: 13 Lessons in Life with Saul Leiter” and an accompanying evening talk event by Motoyuki Shibata, the scholar of American Literature who subtitled the documentary.
