Koichi Kurita (b. 1962) and Yoshihiro Suda (b. 1969) are two internationally acclaimed contemporary artists from Fuefuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Kurita exhibits handfuls of soil collected from shuttered towns and villages all across Japan. Suda installs delicate and realistic wood carvings of plants in unexpected, easily overlooked places. This exhibition explores the origins, uniqueness, and commonalities of their works. See how both artists find fulfillment through the small things.
