This event has ended.

Diego was born in 1986. He started street art in his teens without any art education. In recent years, as a member of the artist collective Side Core, he has been organizing exhibitions and presenting his works. In addition to organizing a project to direct the creation of murals by artists from around the world, he has participated in the ‘Bubble Wrap exhibition (Contemporary Art Museum Kumamoto, 2018-19) curated by Takashi Murakami, and is an artist of note who is expanding the scope of his presentations from the street to museums.

In this exhibition, Diego focuses on the shutters seen in the city. The opening and closing of shutters can be read as a sign of change in the city and its connection to economic activities. This exhibition will feature new two-dimensional works created using old shutters that were actually exposed to the wind and rain in Sumida City.
