Ichiro Yamaguchi x Yasuyoshi Botan “Yasashii Towel Presents Tokyo⇄Kyoto”

In the spring of 2021 towels made by two artists painter Ichiro Yamaguchi and contemporary artist Yasuka Botan. To celebrate the release of these towels, simultaneous exhibitions at Tobichi Tokyo and Kyoto.
Yamaguchi’s exhibition, which will start on April 29th (Thursday, national holiday), will feature not only the original drawings of the towel “Hana ni Mizu,” but also as many of the drawings as possible from his studio in Shikoku. Some of them will be sold by lottery. Also, for this exhibition, the artist has created a number of miniature original paintings, about the size of a postcard. These will also be available for sale. On the first day of the event, Thursday, April 29, there will be a live painting session from around 11:30 a.m.
From May 8 (Sat), the space will become the “big old house” as imagined by Botan. The visitor will feel as if they have wandered into the world of the picture book “Troublesome Ball”. In the space surrounded by Botan’s view of the world, visitors can enjoy the original towel paintings and the new cushion works. The cushions will be sold by lottery.
