This event has ended.

This exhibition is an installation-style show that depicts the creative process of a flimsy paper artist. Jean Julien, who has a deep knowledge of Japanese manga culture, brings his comical and humorous sensibility to the core of this exhibition while creating scenes that remind us of the beauty of ordinary life. The beautiful sea of his hometown Brittany, wheat fields swaying in the wind, fish, animals, and other living creatures, the simple but beautiful scenery seen from his garden, children’s toys. Each of Julien’s paintings tells a fresh story.

All of Julien’s work was created during the year of the pandemic.
His free and graceful ideas, which instantly grab people’s attention, are a powerful testament to the beauty of human cultural activities.

In this exhibition, about 50 paintings of various sizes will be displayed. In addition, the paper people, who are incarnations of the artist himself, will appear to greet visitors.
